Takeoff description
Starting elevation is 770 meters, and altitude difference to the landing is about 680 m. The start is the covered with small stones and sand. On clean plateau 3 wings can spread but around can be much more gliders. T Take off is for the southeast, south, southwest and west wind, and you can take off on the thermal (due channeling) even with the eastern wind. Main characteristic is thar take off is in the saddle so that air flows channeled. When stronger wind blows mixed with thermals take off can be demanding, especially for beginners. In summer it is possible to take off from early morning till evening, while flying to untiltill the sunset.
Rules and notes
No flying acros valley in front of takeoff if over 400 m ASL. It is CTR and it is forbidden.
Pilot comments
Many who come to fly on Tribalj, fall in love in his spell and they return again. A large number of lflyiable days, solid altitude, sea and mountains, good roads are arguments for good flying in the area. Long ridge about 20 km and its rocky slopes provide good thermals, mid-day sometimes strong, but usually quiet afternoon, so that beginners can enjoy. Flying is on thermalls or dynamics. ACRO & SIV The reason why some prefer Tribalj is the lake, which allows pilots safely perform extreme manouvers. After 2 minutes of take off you are above the lake with about 600 m difference in altitude, which is enough to test extremes. An ideal place to test new wing, etc.
