Takeoff description
The launch site is located ten minutes past Playa Santtispac and is accessed via a well marked and two wheel drive gravel road on your right. The best launch is 25 feet north of the gate to the antenna and just below the road. The prevailing winds are from the east which creates a slight side hill launch situation. If the winds clock to the north then you can lay your wing at the edge of the road and you will have a very clear and level launching path right toward the LZ.
Pilot comments
There are guy wires to the north and south of the launch area but they do not obstruct launch in any way. If you are ridge soaring then a couple of wings could comfortably fly between these two obstructions. Because of the east facing slope thermal flying will end in the middle of the afternoon but ridge soaring will still be possible.
