Det er også mulig å starte lenger vest på oppsiden av veien hvor det finnes noen starter som er "snillere" på dager med sterk termikk foran Hoven. Alle er naturstarter som ikke er bearbeidet, velg startsted som passer til vindretningen og dine ferdigheter. Startbare retninger er fra SØ via S til SV.
