Hyeneshesten er veldig steinete, så egner seg nok best ved snødekte tider (vinter/påske). På sommeren bør man heller trekke ned mot lyngområdene sør for varden. Kommer vinden østfra vil man få gode hangforhold innover Skjerdalen. Kjempefin tur!
